Boat Launch Update

The aging boat ramp is open
Watch for submerged rebar
Please Use CAUTION
A new ramp is coming

The Munro Township now officially has jurisdiction over the boat launch area at the end of Douglas Lake Road. The Township has been working with Huron Engineering to replace the aging boat ramp and Spierling Excavating has been awarded the contract to do the job.  The boat ramp replacement may be able to happen later this summer.

Until that time, be aware of submerged rebar and use caution.
The DouglasLake.org home page has the latest boat ramp status.
Check the daily fire danger rating for our area here.
Visit Michigan.gov fire safety for more info.
Please keep Douglas Lake Clean -- Clean. Drain. Dry.
and properly dispose of bait.

UMBIO Buoy information has a new home this year
The UMBIO buoy has a new web link because it is on a new system. The Great Lakes Observing System (GLOS) created the Seagull platform to get more information about the lakes into the hands of more people. Seagull is a powerful, cloud-based platform for Great Lakes data and information.
Read more about Seagull at https://glos.org/priorities/seagull/ .

The connection was not working for a couple weeks but it is back online now.
