CHAPTER MEETING/PROGRAM
Monthly Chapter night meetings will not be held in July and August.  September 13th we will return to our monthly 2nd Tuesday night meetings with a CELEBRATION! Stay tuned for details!

Meanwhile, if you hear of a good topic for our FALL monthly night meetings, know a good speaker on or demonstrator of a topic of interest to the outdoors and/or recreation, then please contact Howard Pardue, our Program Coordinator. Hpardue@comcast.net

Chapter Council Update:
Good news, Leslie Wheeler  has been appointed Chair of Chapter Council.  Leslie is a long time Chapter volunteer with the Trailblazers and member of the FTA Board of Directors.  As a member of the Board of Directors she was eligible for the appointment and appointed by the FTA President and Board as required under the new FTA Bylaws.
LEON SINKS UPDATE:
Leon Sinks is open! It is a "soft opening" because construction is still being done on the Hammock Sink overlook. Look for an upcoming "grand reopening" in the fall, but until then, it is open to the public. There is a site host taking care of the bathroom facilities, and it will be open during regular park hours. Thank you all for your support and patience during this process! Our volunteer day really spiffed up the site and I am looking forward to getting out there soon.
