MON JUL 11, 18, 25 - 5:15 PM - A Walk in the Woods:  Lafayette Heritage Trail Park (Piney Z) - A Walk in the Woods is beneficial to one's mental and physical health, particularly at the end the day. Join us in a moderate to strenuous walk through the woods (typically 3 to 4 miles/hour). This may be the trail to Tom Brown Park and back (approx. 4.0 miles), or the trail to Alford Greenway, Bill’s Trail and back (approx. 3.7 miles). We rest for a few minutes at the midway point. Dogs on a leash are welcome.  **Meet:** At 5:15 near the restrooms. We start the hike at 5:30 pm sharp.  **Bring:** Expect heat, bring water. Wear shoes appropriate for rough trails. Bug repellent may be needed.

Come at 9:15 am and be ready to hike a 4 – 6-mile loop (2 -3 miles in and back) at 9:30 AM sharp. Bring snack if needed, water and hat and wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes. Come hydrated. Bring a chair/beverage for post hike cool down and visitation. We will attempt to maintain a pace of 3.0 - 3.5 mph.
