Two big announcements (and one more to come)

Dear Friend of BHA,

Our ACE program is back! The first of two big announcements this month is that our Active Communication Education Program (ACE) is back. A great program for those who are hard of hearing and their partners or family. See our Service Highlight section below for more information.

Our second big announcement is the update to our website. The BHA website has received a bit of a makeover this month aiming to highlight our services and offerings and making it a little easier to find what you are looking for. Check it out here

This month included Men's Health Week and we have a great article on Industrial Deafness – what it is, who's at risk, and what treatment is available. Check it out here.

And one more big announcement still to come... Till next time,

Tony Whelan

SERVICE HIGHLIGHT

Active Communication Education (ACE) Program
Starts 20 July

Our Active Communication Education (ACE) Program aims to help adults with hearing loss become more effective communicators and provide them with strategies to cope better in everyday life.

It was developed from a program of research conducted in the Communication Disability Centre at The University of Queensland.

The program consists of one session a week over five weeks conducted by BHA's own audiologist.
