CAPA

Opportunity for Club Entries for CAPA Competition

Everyone is gearing up for summer!  As you are out and about (no doubt with camera in hand) think about the opportunity of entering the CAPA Pacific Zone Open Theme photo competition.

This is a CAPA competition specific to our Canadian zone and is open to individual CAPA members as well as clubs that are CAPA members.  In other words, you are automatically a CAPA club member through the TriCity Photo Club therefore you can enter the contest through the club.

A club submission is restricted to 6 images from different photographers.  Individual competitors (under a personal CAPA membership) can submit up to 3 images.  The process for choosing which images selected to advance to the competition by the club will be the same as that employed for image selection to the NSPS and Lions Gate competitions.

The deadline for submissions to CAPA is October 1st so the selection process will happen in September.  Right now, this is a notification to keep the competition in mind.  We will follow up with details later in the summer.

In the meantime, if you would like more information regarding CAPA competitions you can go to the CAPA website at capacanada.ca.  You do not have to be a member to access the site.  Select ‘competitions’ from the top of the page.  Select ‘current competitions’ from the drop down menu.  On that page you will find detailed information on editing criteria/image size/image titles and judging criteria.

Have a wonderful summer and happy shooting!!!

Please visit the CAPA area of our Members Only section on our website to access the latest CAPA magazine and CAPA Newsletter.  Please see the updated information on entering CAPA competitions as well.

Cheers, TCPC Executive Committee
