  Summer Commencement


In-person commencement ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, August 6 in Strahan Arena at the University Events Center on the San Marcos campus. For more information, and information about regalia, visit the university's Commencement page.

  Shop Talks

 

Grants Part I: Grant Seeking for Graduate Students  (Online)

This Shop Talks session is part one of a four-part series held throughout the month of July that introduces graduate students to the grant-writing process and covers grant seeking and sponsored research. If you are wondering what a grant is, how to find one, and what role graduate student researchers play in the university’s grant submissions, this session is for you! If you attend all four parts, you will qualify to earn the Grad College Shop Talks Certificate of Participation in the Grant Writing Series.

  Fall Registration


Have you registered? Please review your degree audit and communicate with your advisor to ensure that you are registering for courses that count towards your degree. To register for classes, go to CatsWeb. The last day to register for fall without a fee is July 31.

  Funding

 

External funding opportunity: Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) Program

Program Overview: provides flexible, remote internship opportunities with more than 50 federal agencies on a wide range of projects, including research, analysis, software development, graphic design, mapping, writing, vlogging, and social media
Eligibility: part-time or full-time enrollment in a degree or certificate program; some positions require foreign language skills
Citizenship: U.S. citizens, permanent residents
Benefits: unpaid; course credit possible
Deadline: July 31, 2022
