You are an Advocate
If Hope Community closed its doors (we don't have any, but work with me), would the city of Wilmington miss our presence? This is a VERY NECESSARY question for us as Jesus followers to ask. More specifically, if you moved from your neighborhood, would your neighbors miss how you loved them? These questions aren't to send us on a guilt trip. These questions help gauge whether or not our Love of God propels us to Love our Neighbor, which is the very heart of Christianity.

Summer in the Psalms: We look forward to immersing ourselves in one of the most beautifully written books in the bible. If you aimed to read 2 chapters of Psalms a day, you would finish by the end of summer. I hope you'll join me!

Sunday's Message: Our message this week came from our guest teacher Matt Meier, focusing on Psalm 139. This Psalm reminds us that we are fully known and fully loved by God; fearfully and wonderfully made. This truth helps us to uproot lies and false beliefs about our identity. God can use this passage to reorient us back to our true sense of worth found in Him. Listen and be encouraged!

Creation is our theme all summer long! We are working on memorizing our new bible verse, Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." We are also learning a song, "My God is so Big," linked here: Sing Hosanna - My God Is So Big | Bible Songs for Kids - YouTube

Playdate: this Friday, July 1st 10 AM at Long Leaf Park Splash Pad! Come beat the heat. Popsicles will be provided.

July 3rd- 4th of July potluck pool party celebration!! Join us after worship for some fun fellowship to celebrate the 4th of July together! Wear your bathing suits and coverups to church then jump in the pool and grab a hotdog! We invite you to bring a side dish or dessert to share if you are able. Please bring your dish to the pool area following our worship time. Don't forget to bring a towel and sunscreen!

July 31- Beach Night @ 6pm- L-Shaped Lot Access 4 at Wrightsville Beach
*Bring your own bag dinner, beach chair and beach game if you have it. This event is for all ages and a great opportunity to connect!
