“The project delights in its minimal profile. It is very poetic
— it conjures the same sort of magical intrigue as the
site’s mythical associations.”

Arthurian Legend

Our AZ Awards winner for Best Urban Design
Intervention — which also graces the cover
of our new issue, out now — is Tintagel
Castle Footbridge. A collaboration between Ney &
Partners and William Matthews Associates, the
design links the historic remains of a castle
built in the 1230s to mark the site of King
Arthur’s conception.

Meet the Winners!
|
On Friday, we announced the highly anticipated
results of the 2022 AZ Awards. Our winners
portal is a virtual celebration of the best
design across design and architecture. (And
it’s a pretty cool website, if we do say
so ourselves.)

AZ Awards 2022 Issue
|
After careful deliberation, our distinguished jury selected
24 projects as the recipients of this year’s AZ
Awards. Our new issue celebrates these winners, which
include everything from a learning centre that preaches the
power of agriculture to a bridge with ties to Arthurian
legend.
