Events in local sustainability this July
Farm days

Loads to do now that there are long warm(ish) days

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

After some recent rain, there is lots of weeding to do, and also scything - the grass under the farm apple trees is getting very long.  There is more to plant in the outdoor raised beds.   There are also a couple of sheds to assemble in the orchard.

The site is large and it is easy to socially distance.  Email us if you'd like to come along.

Railway Orchard
We will meet on
Saturday 2 July at 11am.

The orchard has been a bit neglected of late, so there is lots to do to get it back into shape - brambles to be cut, grass trimmed, pond filled. Bring shears, scythes, secateurs, or just come and enjoy the space.
Putting up an enormous and robust frame for runner beans, which we hope will now not be blown down
