Announcements from your social committee:

Effective July 1st, La Barn will be open daily for use! This is perfect to enjoy rainy days, crafts, games, etc. Parents, be aware that there is no supervision and it is important that you remember that you are responsible for your children and their actions. Any vandalism and we will be forced to take away this opportunity for everyone. We are sure that opening up La Barn for use will be great as our residents and guests are respectful and kind.

Come to La Barn at 8 PM and help plan a fun filled summer!

Saturday July 2nd: DANCE
8 PM - 10 PM: all ages welcome!

Other news...
Fireworks
Please remember that fireworks are not permitted on park property. If you want to see a great show, click here for a list of events nearby, including Bowmanville, Oshawa, and Scugog. There's also a Canada Day parade in Peterborough on Friday, July 1st!

Site tidy
As you may know, we were planning to go around after the May long weekend to make sure all sites have been maintained and are tidy. Now that we have all had the chance to get caught up after the big storm, we will be resuming this next week. We will also be addressing any sites that have a metal shed, tarp shed, overgrown grass/weeds, and anything else listed in the License of Occupation as not acceptable. You can review the LOO by clicking here (for site maintenance, see page 10 and for info on sheds, see page 12).  Now is your opportunity to take care of any issues before we have to address them with you. Thanks!

Insurance
Given the impact of the recent storm, we suggest that everyone takes a moment to review their insurance policy. Should anything like this ever happen again, you want to be sure that your coverage includes replacement value of your trailer. The price of trailers has risen in the last few years, so it is a good time to do some research and make sure that the payout limit on your current insurance would actually be enough to replace the trailer in the worse case scenario that has proven to be possible. Remember, per the License of Occupants, you must have insurance on your trailer and we need a copy of your policy on file.

Hydro
We will begin reading hydro for the first round of bill after the long weekend. Please be sure that your meter is accessible and that there is no foliage, furniture, or other obstructions. Bills will be emailed out soon.

If you have been considering getting a park model, there is no better time than now!

For our campers!
Anyone planning to explore the Ganaraska during their stay:
We know that packing up your horses or dirt bikes and ATV's for a few days of riding is something you are looking forward to doing, but the GRCA has shut down the forest and trails (see below for info).

We are happy to work with our guests in either cancelling or rescheduling their reservation due to the closures. We do not know how long the trails will be closed, but are in touch with upcoming reservations every week to make sure our guests are aware. The trails on Sandaraska Park property are now open!
