New EV Charging App from MCE Saves Drivers Money
MCE’s new EV smart-charging app, MCE Sync, is now available to Bay Area drivers, helping save the average driver up to $1,000 per year vs. gasoline. The MCE Sync app provides a hassle-free way for EV drivers to charge off-peak which also aligns EV charging with low-carbon electricity and supports grid reliability.

Utility Partnership with 211 enhances support during Public Safety Power Shutoffs
In partnership with the 211 California Network, PG&E has ramped up their emergency preparedness support for communities in preparation for Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS). For individuals at risk of PSPS, particularly those with access and functional needs, 211 offers a toolkit that considers each of them holistically and helps to tailor a resiliency plan that works for them.

Highway 101 Lane Closure
Caltrans will be conducting significant work over the weekend. A major closure coming to Highway 101 in Marin, with delays up to 1 hour expected. A full two lanes of a four-lane stretch on northbound Highway 101 in Marin County will be closed for repairs. The lane closure is scheduled from 10 p.m., Friday, July 8, to 7 a.m., Monday, July 11.
No on- or off-ramps will be closed.
