A big thanks to Francois for planning some challenging courses on our return to Delheim after so many years.  The day turned out to be a glorious winters day and all who came out seemed to greatly enjoy the afternoon.

Planning a course at Delheim is extremely challenging given the steep terrain, but by and large I think we got the courses just about right.  After mostly having park events over the past few years, I think some competitors were caught a bit unaware at how tough a 5km course can be.  As a reminder to how we classify our courses: Orange and Red are technically easier courses mainly for walkers and runners; while Green and Blue courses are technically more tricky for those with more experience and who aren't afraid to get off the paths.
A big thank-you must to to Victor and the team at Delheim.  They have been extremely welcoming and supportive of us returning to their beautiful farm.  I hope that many of you took the chance to support them by tasting some of their wine or staying for a drink at the restaurant.

We had 64 starters on the day which is a good turnout for our first winter event.  Let's see if we can keep the momentum going at our next event on 31 July when we have our next event at Plaisir De Merle in Franschoek.

Finally, if you have any feedback on today's event or would like to help out in the future, we would love to hear from you - just hit reply to this email.
