After I finished and shipped the HOPE series abroad, I spent some time making another work. This time it is for my own use. I finished two window coverings for my house. One is machine-sewn muslin curtain for my living room and the other one is hand sewn recycled linen window covering for my bathroom.
Rachel of Botanica Tinctoria kindly sent me some of her naturally dyed materials from Canada and I had fun experimenting. I am working on new projects that you can make at home. These are some samples. New project ideas and patterns are coming soon!
My backyard indigo growing project is finally progressing. I tried to grow indigo from seeds for a few years and this year is the first time that I actually managed to grow these. I have learned that I have to start indoors to sprout them and need to be patient before I transplant outdoors. Water them regularly and give tender love and a smile every morning. Fresh leaf indigo dyeing is my goal this summer!
