Museum in a Box

The Museum in a Box program brings the physical sciences of flight to students in grades K-12.

Request a NASA Speaker or Exhibit

Request a NASA Speaker to come to speak (virtually) with your classroom or request a NASA exhibit to be sent to your school.


STEM on Station

Have you ever wondered what kind of STEM activities occur on the International Space Station? Follow astronauts as they demonstrate STEM concepts such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, surface tension, advances in technology and more.  

Select a topic to go beyond textbooks, and use the videos and additional resources to supplement classroom activities.

View the Summer Night Sky at the University of North Georgia's Observatory Public Open House

Want to get a better view of what's happening in our night sky this summer? The University of North Georgia Observatory is open to the public for evening viewings this summer on Friday and Saturday evenings from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. You can get more information about the observatory on their website. You can follow weather updates for optimal viewing windows on their Facebook page.

Interesting Astronmicial Events this Summer 2022

July 13: Buck Moon

July's Full Moon is known as the Buck Moon, Thunder Moon, Hay Moon, and Wort Moon. The Buck Moon for 2022 is also a Supermoon.

August 12 and 13: Perseid Meteors

The Perseid meteor shower is usually one of the most active and brightest meteor showers of the year.

August 14: Saturn at Opposition

The ringed planet, Saturn, lies on the opposite side of Earth to the Sun and is visible from sunset to sunrise.

August 27: Mercury at Greatest Elongation East

This might be a good time to try and spot Mercury: the planet appears at its farthest distance from the Sun in the evening sky.

NASA Fall Internship Application Deadline 

July 11, 2022

NASA's Internship programs are currently open for applications. The deadline to apply for Fall 2022 is July 11. 

Internships: paid internships for high school and college-level students to contribute to NASA projects under the guidance of a NASA mentor. 
Pathways Intern: The Pathways Program offers current students and recent graduates paid internships that are direct pipelines to full-time NASA employment upon graduation.
Fellow: NASA fellowships allow graduate-level students to pursue research projects in response to NASA's current research priorities.
