Mid-May this year, Platform 0090 was part of the very first Antwerp edition of Beyond The Black Box. During this transdisciplinary festival, the audience was invited to discover artists who dare to go off-grid, and presented their work that goes beyond easily categorisable disciplines. Watch for the very first time, the trailer of Gilgamesh. The latest creation by Mesut Arslan. Together with Mesut Alp, archaeologist and expert on Mesopotamia, Arslan rewrote the epic of Gilgamesh and excavated a number of contemporary core themes from it. Arslan and Alp treat the encounter between Enkidu and Gilgamesh as one that puts nature against civilization, Homo Sapiens against Neanderthals, and time against space. Read more...
