Salute to Veterans &
North East Fireworks Show
Sunday, July 3rd from 6–10pm
in North East Town Park in North East, MD
Come on out for a fantastic Salute to Veterans including displays, music, family-friendly games, veteran organizations... and a HUGE fireworks display over the water. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Veteran's Outreach Ministries (VOM) will be at The Salute with a booth and we're looking forward to seeing you there! We will have the Summer Issue of the VOM News Magazine, as well as other information for Veterans available. Stop by and say hello!

Independence Day Facts
Independence Day is commonly known as the Fourth of July as it's annually celebrated on July 4th. This day is held as a national holiday in commemoration of the ratification of the Declaration of Independence declaring freedom for the Thirteen Colonies from Britain on this date in 1776.
Independence Day is a state public holiday, meaning state government offices are closed though some businesses remain open. It's often a day of family celebrations with picnics, barbecues, sporting events, and patriotic displays throughout the United States. Public events may include parades, shows, and fireworks displays. It's a patriotic holiday for celebrating positive aspects of the United States and a time to give thanks for our freedom.

Head 2 Toe Relay
VOM was honored to participate in the Head 2 Toe bicycle relay from North Wilmington to lower Delaware on June 18, 2022. The VOM Team had a relay rest stop at Augustine Beach on Route 9 where we provided refreshments and snacks for cyclists during the ride.

Thank You Brunch
VOM also held a Veterans Thank You Brunch at Bakers Restaurant on June 25, 2022. We are so grateful to Rob Mathews of Bakers Restaurant for providing the food for this event. All 5 branches of the military – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard – were represented at this event with a total of 25 guests in attendance. Thank you to all who joined us for our fifth annual Thank You Brunch and for making it such a success.
