A Message from The Catholic Crusade
The Church dedicates the month of July to the Precious Blood of Jesus. It is a month in which the Church honors the sacrifice of Christ and the shedding of His blood for the salvation of humanity. Although the history of venerating the Precious Blood goes back to the early Church, it wasn't until Pope Pius IX in the 1800s that it was officially added ato the church calendar (July 1). After Vatican II, this feast day was removed from the calendar; instead the entire month of July was designed as a month for veneration.
There are four novenas that are commonly prayed in the month of July:
We will post the prayers for the novenas (in both text and video forms) on our website and social media accounts as we approach the start dates of each novena. Be sure to follow us on YouTube and Facebook to receive our posts.

St Peregrine is the patron saint of cancer patients and of those who are suffering from other life-threatening illnesses.
St Peregrine suffered from leg cancer. On the day of his scheduled surgery to have his leg amputated, after having prayed before a crucifix on the night before, the doctors discovered that his leg had been completed cured; no signs of cancer whatsoever.
There are countless testimonies of miraculous healings attributed to St Peregrine's intercession on behalf of those who implored his help. This novena is intended to assist those who are either praying for themselves or on behalf of another for St Peregrines intercession to Jesus.
