Free New “Rush Hour” Performances and Activities in July at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum

BISMARCK, N.D. – Rock 'N' Roll Rush Hour, a new series of free State Museum activities on Tuesdays in July, includes live performances, open museum galleries, family activities, and fossil identication by paleontologists. The first Rock ‘N’ Roll Rush Hour kicks off Tuesday, July 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum with outdoor and indoor activities. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for outdoor events. El Coqui will be open indoors with food available for purchase.

Live performances from North Dakota bands include Fargo hip-hop band Hiahli on July 5, Bismarck-Mandan area’s Sugar Break on July 12, Beulah's Americonscious campfire folk musicians, MoonCats, on July 19, and Bismarck's groovy garage rock band Wildly Appropriate on July 26. Enjoy a new family activity every week including lawn games, rock painting, balloon cars, and stomp rockets. North Dakota Geological Survey’s paleontology staff will provide weekly fossil identication, and exhibit galleries in the State Museum will be open to visitors. Stroll through the art tunnel near the entrance and enjoy the grounds. In case of inclement weather, all activities will move inside.
