  • Funding for career and technical education (CTE) programs will receive an increase of $6.1 million.
  •  The budget will include $100 million in targeted grant funding for schools to use to address the mental health needs of their students and $100 million for physical school safety initiatives.
Note: The budget bills have not been passed – they have only just started to move.

PSBA’s budget campaign a success, thanks to your advocacy
Over the past several weeks, our members across the state responded to PSBA’s three-week campaign seeking increases in special education and career and technical education funding, as well as resources to support student mental health needs. The campaign was a success as school leaders contacted their legislators, submitted letters and editorials to local media, and took other measures to advocate for these budget asks. Now we can see the results of your efforts and are grateful for your voice. PSBA extends a sincere thank you to all who spoke up for the benefit of your students and schools.
