In This Issue:

1.) Science In The City - Wrap-Up!
2.) Annual End of the Year Fundraiser - SAVE THE DATE

We hope that you are having a tremendous summer thus far.  We have some exciting news to share with you and it could not wait until our Q3 Newsletter!

1.) Science In The City - Wrap-Up!

If you have not already heard the news, KTVU Channel 2 came out to cover our annual Science In The City Summer STEM Camp at SLAC National Laboratory on Monday, July 11, 2022.  If you missed it, please watch it here.

Our first in-person camp since the pandemic was a tremendous success.  We had about 20 students from all over the Bay Area participate.  The purpose of Science In The City is for students to fall in love with math, science, physics, and chemistry. By doing so, they have a higher probability of going to college, majoring in a STEM-related major, and working in the tech industry to improve their families' and communities' quality of life.  This year’s curriculum focused on the physics of basketball, magnets, roller coasters, straw bridges, and cell phones.  Moreover, students toured the Lab and the accelerator control room, interviewed researchers, scientists, and engineers; and presented what they have learned in a presentation on the last day.  This life-changing experience will motivate and inspire these future scientists and engineers to discover the next element on the Periodic Table, cure cancer, and build the next rocket to take civilians to Mars.

2.)  Annual End of the Year Fundraiser - SAVE THE DATE!

Last year, we held our 1st End of the Year Fundraiser virtually.  You can watch it here.  It was a huge success but there's nothing like being in-person.  This year, we will host our 2nd End of the Year Fundraiser at Inglenook Winery in Napa Valley on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from noon to 3pm.  It will include live music, lunch, a panel of tech executives discussing the future of work, and networking.  If you, or your company, are interested in being a sponsor for this event, please download this solicitation package and contact me directly.  My contact information is below.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you so much for your time!

Sincerely yours,

KLN
