Calling Downers Grove Teens!
July 27th and August 8th

Are you a teen - or know a teen - interested in mental wellness in our community and schools? We need YOU!

grit2 is deep in planning for our 2022/23 programming with a number of exciting new topics, speakers and ideas.
To ensure we are meeting the needs of our community - particularly our teens - we are looking for students to participate in a one-time, one-hour meeting to provide their thoughts and experiences. Snacks will be provided!

Participants should be:

Incoming high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors or outgoing seniors (approx. 14-18 years of age);
Available for one-hour meeting on Wed., 7/27 at 1pm and/or Wed, 8/3 at 10:30am;
Open to discussions on the following topics:
- LGBTQIA+
- Anxiety & Depression
- Microaggressions/Bullying/Cyber-Bullying
- Empathy & Tolerance
- Drugs & Alcohol
- College and Beyond-Mental Readiness

For the second year in a row, grit2 board and friends volunteered at the beer tent and other locations. Profits from the festival benefit local, regional, national and international causes, including twenty-seven not-for-profit volunteer organizations that support causes in and around Downers Grove.
