Looks like this week’s market will be a hot one! Dress lightly when you come to visit us at Farrington Square, wear your sunscreen, and stay hydrated. In addition to their usual delicious products, these vendors have cold drinks available: Flour Shop, Wedzonka, Peanut Butter & More, and Stehly’s. And you can always pop into our friendly neighbors, The Cup, for ice cream and other frosty treats. The point is that we want you be safe while you shop. Keep an eye on your fellow market-goers and vendors, too. If someone looks overheated, get them to a shady spot or into one of the cool buildings around the square. Let’s all be chill and get through this heat wave!
To help you maintain your cool, we’ll have music by Ginger & Joe, the duo version of Ginger and The Schnappes. This pair will have you snapping your fingers and tapping your toes, no matter the temperature. And speaking of roasting, we welcome a new vendor, Hrysek Farms (‘ri-sek), a small-batch coffee roaster, with a mission to bring you fresh, high-quality beans in an environmentally responsible manner.

THE FLOUR SHOP
Sourdough bread, CRUFFINS, danish, scones, cookies, crostini, PANINIS made with local ingredients (meat and vegetarian), and ICED TEA.

GINGER & JOE
Ginger & Joe comprise the duo from the popular six piece jazz band Ginger and The Schnappes. Delivering the great songs of jazz, pop, Latin, country, and blues from the 1920s to today, Ginger Brew and Joe Mixon will have you tapping your toes and snapping your fingers as you shop your favorite market vendors.
Come for lunch and stay for what is sure to be a fantastic show by these talented musicians!

Charter Arts HS student Dana Passerman will be at the market to share information about The Kindness Project. This organization supports foster kids and their families with free resources. To create a payment-free back-to-school shopping experience for foster kids and teens, they are seeking donations of gently-used clothing, accessories (jewelry, hair accessories, etc.) and shoes, as well as monetary donations to purchase undergarments and personal hygiene products for the event.
