Mental health in the United States has been declining at a rapid rate and we're doing our part. In the first six months of this year we were able to provide over 550 free animal assisted sessions and reach over 16,680 people in need with the help of 16-35 specially trained dogs and mini horses.Click to learn more about our impact. So a few days ago the FCC required all phone companiesto route all calls and text messages to “988” to the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline- anationalnetwork of more than 200crisis centers, supportedby local and state sources as well asthe Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In 2020 alone, the U.S. had one death by suicide about every 11 minutes—and for people aged 10-34 years, suicide is a leading cause of death. We wrote about it our blog after launching new efforts to help first responders and medical staff overcome Coronavirus related challenges (see our Mental Health Crisis Blog). We cannot do it alone and need more people to join our charitable mission.
ANIMAL NEWS
In the Midwest, our partner - Canine Advocacy Program, was able to add 2 new canine advocates who support child crime victims going through the United States judicial process in MI and now OH.
On the East Coast, our Southern states partner - Newfie Therapy, is expanding by adding 2 new teams who will provide animal assisted therapy and activities at Princeton University in NJ and select facilities in CT.
In Florida Panhandle, our partner - Kindred Spirits Therapy Minis, rescued a mini pig from slaughter. After he recovers from the trauma and acclimates to his new home. They will access if he's capable and wants to provide animal assisted activity to the elderly with disabilities.

ANIMAL ASSISTED ACTIVITY
Our animal assisted activity programs operate in NC, SC, TN, GA, NJ, CT with 18 loving canines and Florida Panhandle with 4 supportive mini horses. They provided over 250 sessions to veterans, first responders, doctors, nurses, medical staff and the elderly with disabilities living with Alzheimer's. These efforts are only possible because of our partnerships with Kindred Spirits Therapy Minis and Newfie Therapy at Timberknolls Spirit Cove.
ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY
Our animal assisted therapy programs operate in Southern California with 6 therapy certified mini horses plus OH and MI with 32+ specially trained canine advocates. Collectively, they have impacted the lives of over 2,800 crime victims, children with disabilities and medical students. Over 440 courtrooms and forensic interviews were done with the assistance of a trained canine advocate.All child victims, now have the legal right to request canine advocacy assistance at every step of the judicial process in Michigan state.
