Australia was the first of 15 nations to support South Korea and the United States in the Korean War. Of almost 18,000 Australians who served, 1,200 were wounded, 29 were taken prisoner and 340 died. Remember them on 27 July.

Bill, a fighter pilot in No. 77 Squadron, served in the area of Pyongyang during the Korean War. He shared his experience in air combat and recalled the shooting down of an enemy aircraft. Listen to his experience.
