The International Performance Art Archive BLACK KIT opens the door to the window.
On 5 Performance Sundays, 10 top international performance artists will be in Cologne. Subsequently, the artists will move on to the Kunsthalle Gießen.

Two well-known positions will kick off the performance series: JULIE ANDRÉE T. from Canada and MORGAN O'HARA from the USA. Both will meet for the first time in Cologne and bring together "social art", live performance and "live transmission". MORGAN O'HARA will respond to ANDRÉE T.'s powerful performance language with her signature drawing pencils.

Before, at 4.30 pm Morgan O'Hara will start in front of the Kulturbunker Köln-Mülheim with her worldwide project "Handwriting the Constitution".

At 4.30 pm – 1 hour before the live performances begin – MORGAN O'HARA, the Kulturbunker Köln-Mülheim and the Performance Art Archive invite you to take part in a silent demonstration for people's constitutional rights. The action has already been carried out more than 150 times in Asia, Europe and the USA. Cologne will now also be part of the worldwide reflection on fundamental rights.

In a collective process, we will handcopy the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" in different languages. Writing by hand brings to mind what distinguishes and unites us: The fundamental rights that have been fought for over centuries.

We invite you – of any age, origin or gender self-determination – to join the action in front of the Kulturbunker at 4.30 pm. Take a seat, grab a paper and pencil, and make ownership of what is yours.
