Dear families,

SMAAA staff would like to wish you all a very happy summer holiday.
 
We would also like to thank you all for the tremendous support that you have given our school community this year.
 
When we return to school on Thursday 1^st September 2022 school times will return to normal.
 
Early Years and Infants
Start Time 8:55 a.m.
End Time 3:10 p.m.
 
Juniors
Start Time  8:55 a.m.
End Time 3:15 p.m.
 
Mornings
School gates will continue to open at 8:45 a.m. in the morning to prevent congestion on the pavement (Sidney Powell Ave). Early Years and Infant parents can wait on the yard for doors to open.
 
Junior children will continue to enter school via the main carpark gates.
Year 3 will meet their classes at the gate to support transition each morning for the first week.
 
Afternoon
 
Gates will open at 3:00 p.m. and parents can wait on the playgrounds until doors open at 3:10 / 3.15 p.m.
 

We love to see our children when they return in September. 

Please remember that we wear our Winter Uniforms and black shoes.
Children who come to school in black trainers will wear their black pumps during the school day.

Would you like to win a super prize?

Get outside and enjoy nature over the summer holidays and you could have a chance of winning one of our fun science competitions!
The Great Bug Hunt 

Simply identify a local habitat (your garden or a local park/woodland), look under rocks and logs, move leaves aside and watch which insects go in and out of flowers to discover the bugs around us. 

Then record your findings by drawing them, labelling them, making tally charts or even writing poems about them. Can you find out more about them?
Plantastic! 

Observe some of the wonderful plants that are in bloom in the summer months. Present your findings in any way that you like – drawings, facts, poems. 

Entries to be handed in during the first week when we return in September.

We hope that the weather is kind to us during the holiday.
Remember your sun safety and water safety rules to stay safe.

We want all of our children to return to school safely in September.
