Summer is here! What a joy to feel the sun again after a long winter in mountainous Brasov!

First Sunday Service!

Our church plant group is growing and growing, and we are now meeting together in homes every Sunday to worship and hear the Word preached! It has been such a joy to grow closer and closer with this group of people. We now have from 25-35 people on a given Sunday, and I have a little children church class of about 6 kids! Please continue to pray for us as we grow together. Soon it will be time to start looking for a bigger place to meet! We are very excited about this!

Vacation Bible School!

Just last week I traveled back to the Oradea area to help Dani and Claudia Bagosi do Vacation Bible School for several of our churches in that area. On Monday and Tuesday we were in Santandrei with my kiddos (what a blessing to get to see them all again!). Then Thursday and Friday we were in Auseu in the morning and Tetchea in the afternoon. Altogether we were able to teach close to 100 kids about Jesus!

Many of you have asked me about our Ukrainian friends. Most of the ones we were serving in the camp have gone back to Ukraine, at least for the time being. Saying goodbye to them, not knowing if they would be safe, is one of the hardest things I've done. My heart still breaks for these dear friends and the situation in Ukraine. The war is far from over. Please continue to pray for them, and especially for their salvation. Many of the group were not believers.

One of the families that have not yet gone back is Angela, her husband Anton, and their son, Marcus. I met with Angela and Marc in the park this week. They are immigrating soon to Canada, and Angela is very nervous! I had the opportunity to talk to her about the gospel during this meeting. She is very open and has many questions. We talked about the differences between the Orthodox and Baptist Churches. She told me she was scared of the Orthodox church in her hometown. That it was very solemn and a bit frightening. She only went on Easter Sunday. But that she liked going to Speranta (Hope) Church here in Brasov. She said if there had been a church like that in her hometown, she would have gone, but there just wasn't an evangelical church where she lived in Ukraine. Only Orthodox. Oh God send laborers into your harvest! Will you join me in praying for Angela and her sweet family? Pray that she will come to church with us Sunday and hear and recieve the gospel!

"And he said to them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'"

Brasov Church plant- May God add to our numbers daily those who are being saved!
Church Plant in Santandei- that God will continue to work among the kids and adults there
For me as I continue the summer while the Risners are in America. May God give me a peaceful and fruitful summer.
My family's trip to Romania! (they get here July 27th!)
For the churches in Auseu and Tetchea where we had VBS- may God bless their work.

Young adult meeting is going well! We meet every other week for encouragement, fellowship, and fun!
Kid's day- On kid's day (June 1st) we did outreach as a group in downtown Brasov - with crafts and games for the kids.
