We hope you are doing well and having a wonderful summer. We're reminding ourselves here in the FLASH during July, about our Purpose/Vision/Values in our Calvary family.
Last week it was OUR VISION (Who We Will Be on the Road Ahead).
Today let's remember OUR PURPOSE (What We Do Together Along the Way):
Calvary Church is a community where we CONNECT with God and others to GROW in our faith so we REACH Orange County and the world for Jesus Christ.
May you be strengthened and encouraged in that as we journey with God together.

Upcoming Events:
Hobby Night / BBQ / Concert: Tomorrow! Saturday, July 16th in Fellowship Hall. Tickets $15/person.
- 4:00pm: Come check out our fabulous displays of some unique hobbies/collections of some of our seniors. Also try to win a prize in one of John's challenging guessing games!
- 5:30pm: Dinner: BBQ'd ribs, scalloped potatoes and cole slaw!
- 6:30pm: Altar Billies Concert.

Serving Opportunities:
Looking for ways to get involved? We have many volunteer opportunities where you can help make a difference by serving on a team.
God's House Care: We are in need of people to join our God's House Care team! This ministry team cleans our Worship Center and Lobby every Monday morning. Meet in the Worship Center Lobby on Mondays at 7:30 am if you are interested in serving in this way!

Condolences to Leroy Dyrud and family in the passing of wife, Gwen Dyrud who passed June 28th. Gwen was widely known as our voter guide table hostess. Her memorial service will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Samsvick Chapel with a reception following in Fellowship Hall. Laugh a Little...
They say that love is more important than money, but have you ever tried to pay your bills with a hug?
A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home on day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog's duties.
"They use him to keep crowds back", said one child.
"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."
A third child brought the argument to a close. "They use the dogs," she said firmly, "to find the fire hydrants!"
