Are you a teacher, ranger, naturalist, or outdoor learning practitioner? Interested in environmental education or engaging kids with nature? Want to learn about research-informed practices and try out effective outdoor instructional approaches that draw on students’ skills and knowledge? Then this is the Conference for you!

The Environmental Education Alliance is happy to host Georgia’s 30th Anniversary Conference ~ and Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance (SEEA)’s 10th Annual Conference and Research Symposium ~ at Unicoi State Park, September 29 - October 1, 2022. We hope you will join us!

CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

No funds in your employer’s budget (or your pocket) to pay for Conference registration? If the Early Bird, Student / Senior and Hardship rates will not allow you to attend, please apply for a scholarship. Partial scholarships are available to make registration more accessible for all.

The Scholarship Application deadline is August 8th.

PROPOSALS INVITED FOR CONFERENCE AND RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS

Would you like to present a workshop or breakout session at the Conference? Share your research through a poster or presentation? Proposals are still being accepted.

AWARD NOMINATIONS

EEA recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of environmental and outdoor education by individuals and organizations. Nominate yourself or someone else for consideration.

EEA also offers mini-grant awards to current members to fund environmental education performing and visual arts projects in honor of environmental educator, Petey Giroux (1945-2008)

Award nominations and Dragonfly Grant applications will be accepted through August 31 and announced at the Conference.

CONFERENCE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteers are needed to help plan, organize, set up, coordinate, and assist in other ways with Conference. If you would like to help, please contact Conference Chair Hannah Penn at info@eealliance.org.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER ANNOUNCED

EEA is happy to announce that Daniel Blackman, Regional Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Region 4, will provide the Conference’s keynote address on Friday morning at 10:00. The Administrator leads EPA efforts to protect public health and the environment for the region spanning Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and six federally recognized tribes.
