Pastor's Note

Hello Redeemer friends,

Today we launch our summer online campaign: "A New Kitchen for a New Day!"

Did you know that food is mentioned in the Bible 1,207 times? That’s three times the number of mentions of sin! Clearly, our earthly life depends on access to food, and food forms the basis of human connection. Is it any wonder that Jesus chose to be remembered through a simple meal of wine and bread, a meal intended for the forgiveness of sins?

It’s no surprise that a functioning KITCHEN is absolutely essential for a church that is alive. Redeemer has been without a functioning kitchen since March 2019. As part of a larger repair/renovation project, we seek funds to construct a NEW KITCHEN–relocated out of the basement to the upper level, an easy walk from the sanctuary.

The new kitchen will allow for congregational meals, and generate modest revenue in conjunction with the adjacent event space. As its primary purpose, though, this kitchen will supply a nutritious, hot lunch for whomever is nearby and hungry, six days per week. In partnership with Marquette Campus Ministry, Redeemer hosted this meal for ten years before the existing kitchen became unusable.

Please consider a generous gift to support a KITCHEN at Redeemer; how quickly can we reach our $26,000 goal for this campaign?
