It’s that time again, Sanford!
BALLOTS ARE OPEN for the BEST OF SANFORD and BEST OF DOWNTOWN SANFORD 
Cast your vote for all your “favorites,” and you’ll have a chance to win a dinner for two at one of the winning restaurants. Just fill out the ballot and submit it electronically on our website at mysanfordmagazine.com or bestofsanford.com by August 5, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
Get excited! Winners will be recognized on August 30, 2022, at the Best of Sanford gala award ceremony  See you all there!

July 16th: Hispanic Outreach Festival
Come join us for our annual Hispanic Outreach Festival!
The Hispanic Outreach Festival is completely free to the community including: food, activities, and entry. We are bringing on new sponsors, resources, and vendors this year which we are excited about. Here is a short list of what you can expect:
Ladies 327 is sponsoring an exciting Kids Zone full of children’s games and entertainment. ALL of the Kids Zone activities for your children will be FREE. The children will surely have a fantastic time at the festival while you spend time relaxing or learning about our local resources.
We will have even more entertainment including a DJ and dancing performances by Venezolanos En Sanford, Latinos in Action, D3 Ladies, and Kura Salsa. We hear rumors about a full mariachi band being in attendance too but you will have to come see for yourself.
We are partnering with some exciting organizations and non-profits who will be bringing amazing resources to the community.

Sunday, July 16th: Acrylic Pour Painting Class with Linda Hollerbach
Learn this fluid and fun technique with Linda Hollerbach in an intimate studio setting. Limited to four participants, duration 2 hours. The course cost of $50 includes two 12 x 12 canvasses and all necessary supplies. Linda will provide instruction on three acrylic pour painting techniques. Add an additional painting for $20. No experience necessary!

July 30th: Christmas in July SHOPPING EVENT in Historic Downtown Sanford
Join us Saturday, July 30th from 10am-6pm for our annual Christmas in July Shopping Event featuring some amazing deals brought to you by the independent retailers of Historic Downtown Sanford!
Enjoy food & drink specials from participating bars and restaurants and spend a great day browsing and shopping on our brick-lined streets!

September 10th: Prominade in the Park: Celebrating Sanford Museum's 65th Anniversary
Celebrate the 65 years of the Sanford Museum having its doors open with a picnic! This event is free to the public and we encourage you to wear your interpretation of 19th century clothing.
Play some games of the past such as croquet, badminton, and horseshoes and enjoy snacks.
The Museum will be giving free tours every 30 minutes to the public and there will be a lecture at 1pm about the City of Sanford’s History given by Sanford Museum’s curator, Brigitte Stephenson.
Event will be held both outdoors and indoors at the Museum and Fort Mellon Park!

October 14th-16th: Hollerbach's Oktoberfest in Sanford!
Time to save the dates - 𝐃𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡'𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐎𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭, our annual German party in beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford on Oktober 14th, 15th and 16th!
This indoor-outdoor festival at the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 will feature authentic German food from Hollerbach’s German Restaurant and Market, German beer, wine, Schnapps and desserts, a Kids Zone presented by Ladies 327 of Sanford, and German-style entertainment including polka music, folk instruments, yodeling, and dancing in traditional costumes. This year we'll have two bandstands - one inside and one outdoors - and the King Guys Band and Sonnenschein Express will be returning with their traditional German folk music!
