God, Lord of all creation, lover of life and of everything, please help us to love in our very small way what You love infinitely and everywhere. We thank You that we can offer just this one prayer and that will be more than enough, because in reality everything and everyone is connected, and nothing stands alone. To pray for one part is really to pray for the whole, and so we do. Help us each day to stand for love, for healing, for the good, for the diverse unity of the Body of Christ and all creation, because we know this is what You desire: as Jesus prayed, that all may be one. We offer our prayer together with all the holy names of God, we offer our prayer together with Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Women...On Clearing Out the Clutter and Getting Your House in Order
We all know how critical it is to review and update important documents including your will, trust, or estate plan.
So true, and yet, many women have not tackled this task.
"If you are a senior and have adequate retirement savings, now's the time to pay attention to legacy planning.", says Myriah Lipke, a certified financial planner at Stone Pine Financial Partners in Media, Pa.
"Women often push this to the back burner," she says. "But it's important to plan how your assets will be delivered to beneficiaries (including your church).
It's the equivalent of cleaning your memorabilia out of the attic versus leaving it for your children to figure out."

St Patrick's Celebrates the Glorious 4th
|
|
|

It has been two years since Kenwood held its annual 4th of July parade and that long also since there was the foot race, or the pancake breakfast hosted by the Kenwood Community Church. That was a long time to wait.
But the wait was over, and on July 4th the community gathered to celebrate the day and being together.
Our church was represented in the parade this year with fanfare and better than that, a baby blue truck graciously loaned by Karl Mutch's brother-in-law. There was bunting, there were flags, there was a long banner strapped to the side of the truck so that the judges knew just who we were.
Representing all of us were Ann Schneider, Eleanor Albon, Wendy Wood, Betsy and Rich Randolph, Candace MacNair, Shona Burns and driver, Karl Mutch.
Participants lined up starting at 8:30 and the parade officially kicked off at 10:15 with the Color Guard followed by two fire trucks. Then at 10:30 all of the vehicles, trucks, horses, people, and one tractor, started their roll towards Warm Spring Road and the judging platform in front of the park.
The official count was around 1,000 happy people were in attendance; a smaller crowd than other years yet by all accounts, everyone had a great time.
After the parade many stayed to hear the music in the park which had a number of vendors of food and drink in addition to the annual Kenwood Community Church silent auction.
We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Ann Schneider, Event Chair, for organizing our fabulous parade entry and to her team, and to Karl Mutch and Shona Burns for the loan of their singular vehicle.

White Socks! White Socks!
|
|
|
We heard that there was a need for new white socks for people who go to the FISH Food Pantry to pick up food. Socks for men and women can be donated from our parishioners as they enter the narthex of our church. A barrel will be right inside the front door, in the left corner. Donations will be delivered monthly by any one of our St. Patrick's members, who volunteer at FISH in Santa Rosa.
In the past, St. Patrick's donated socks for people in need, and then came Covid! We are now back in business, and you have an opportunity to donate this coming Sunday!
It's a great day, when we can help someone put their best foot forward, in a new pair of socks!!

O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
