President's Message

July 2022

Hello All,

It was nice to see so many of you at the Young Eagles this morning, keep up the great work!! Thank you to all the pilots, ground crew, and anyone else that makes these events happen. I was excited to see all of the smiling faces on the kids after their rides. I hope some of you are  headed to Oshkosh this year, I am still unsure if I will make it. I was not able to make the last couple meetings due to work travel so a thank you to the rest of the board for making those happen, sounds like I missed some good ones. I hope all of you are getting more flying in than I am this summer. If I do not see you at Oshkosh I hope to see you in August at the meeting or Logan Young Eagles event.

Adam

FAA SAFETY TEAM Seminar/Webinar

Do you fly in or out of the Ogden class delta airspace?  Have you wondered why ATC issues the instructions and clearances they do?  Would you like to make your experience more seamless?  On Tuesday July 19, 2022 at 6 pm, we will be pleased to have a pilot/controller forum with Ogden ATC Tower manager Frank Elshoz at CB Skyshare.

During this event we will discuss the unique layout of the Ogden and proximity to Hill Air Force Base. We will also go over some of the common clearances, why they are given, and how they help facilitate the safe and efficient use of the airspace.  There will be plenty of time for questions and answers....so come prepared!
