You voted on the issues that mattered most to you, and these organizations responded with their best ideas to make an impact. We are proud to share a record-breaking number of submissions ― including ideas for sheltering unhoused populations, expanding access to arts education, cultivating green spaces, empowering immigrant communities, and much more.

NEW FEATURE: METRIC MONDAYS

Here at LA2050, we are keeping you in the loop  Mondays are now "Metric Mondays"!

Each week on the @LA2050 Instagram, we share compelling data representing one of our 68 impact metrics. The metrics help us evaluate our collective progress toward making LA an even better place.

BEATRIZ'S FAVE FIVE
BEATRIZ ACEVEDO | CEO and Co-Founder, SUMA Wealth

My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY:  Play for me is a sunset walk on the Santa Monica cliffs with my husband and our dog. On a clear day, you can see from the Pier all the way to Malibu. Truly magical!

CREATE:  I love the committed community we have created with PledgeLA from the Annenberg Foundation. The top VC's and Tech Companies in L.A. are pledging to be more inclusive when it comes to access to capital to all communities in our city; so proud of the progress LA has made in this innovation economy.

CONNECT:  Any event from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund led by Fidel Vargas helps me to connect with the younger generations in my community. I've connected with so many talented kids that I don't only mentor, but also have the opportunity to learn from.

LEARN:  When I first arrived in LA, I enrolled in UCLA to learn more about the entertainment industry. Today, I continue to learn from UCLA's Latino Policy & Politics Initiative, which addresses the most critical domestic policy challenges through research, advocacy, mobilization, and leadership development.

LIVE:  Food for me is life and I am the happiest when I visit my friends, chefs Jaime Martin del Campo and Ramiro Arvizu at La Casita Mexicana in Bell, California. You can find me there celebrating every Mother's Day, birthday, or any big life milestone!
