JULY 2022

Hello, Extraordinary Professionals!

The end of this month, July 30th, is recognized as the International Day of Friendship. I’m giving you a heads up now so you can plan to acknowledge the special friends you have in your life. ;-) I’m so very thankful for all of my precious friendships. I still have friends from high school that go back 30+ years, as well as “newer” friends from the last 15 years or so. Clients who have turned into friends make what I do all the sweeter.

In August, I am looking forward to spending time with my friends for my birthday. They are taking me to see the Tony-Nominated “MJ the Musical” on Broadway and I CAN NOT WAIT! I absolutely love musicals and enjoying them with my friends makes it even more special. I have had the blessing of seeing The Lion King, The Color Purple, Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations, Hamilton, and Hair Spray.

Let me encourage you to pause for a moment and think about your most important friendships. Time is our most precious commodity - we don’t get it back and need to spend it wisely. Spending time with friends, reconnecting, and sharing life together is a precious gift. I’d like to challenge you to think ahead now, to take the time to plan to connect with your friends. Best friends are so good for our souls.

Use International Day of Friendship as a reason to reach out to those friends you may have lost touch with or just haven’t connected with recently. We all know life gets busy and sometimes we forget to prioritize our relationships. It’s so important to intentionally nurture relationships with the most important people in our lives. Start today.

Stay well,
Tammeca

THE IMPORTANCE OF WORK FRIENDS

A 2018 Gallup poll found that those who have a best friend at work are twice as likely to be engaged in their jobs, are better at engaging customers, produce higher-quality work, have a greater sense of well-being, and are less likely to get injured on the job. People who have friends at work are more likely to be happier and healthier. READ MORE >>
