This week in our “Air Camp,” children have really enjoyed the experiences and science experiments that the teachers have created for them. We have seen birds and nests in all of the classes, and the campers have explored a variety of natural materials while constructing their own theories about birds, eggs, and nests. At the same time, the theme of the air has allowed them to explore some natural phenomena such as wind: they have spoken of hurricanes and thunderstorms and created tornados in plastic bottles as a science experiment.
During cooking class, campers made healthy parfaits, with nut-free granola, berries, honey, and yogurt. In art, they have created various works on birds with different materials; some classes even used clay to make realistic nests. Today, they enjoyed a fun and active field day with coach Marco.
