Some handy hints
To ensure you enjoy the joie de vivre to its fullest, here are some handy tips:

  • We know Melbourne's weather can be dynamic and while we have ordered a glorious sunny winter day, a reminder to bring warm clothes and potentially a rain jacket/umbrella. (While the Festival is mostly inside, some of the French Winter Market will be outside in the Edge Terrace)
  • Don't forget to bring your tickets (an electronic or paper copy) if attending one of our ticketed events. (e.g. Les Lumières Talks or Masterclasses)
  • Don't forget your appetite! You will be able to enjoy delicious treats in the French Winter Market!
  • While we will be operating cashless sales (card only) at Le Bar, some of our stallholders may be accepting cash. Be ready for both!
  • Le Bar will be located in The Edge - note, alcohol can only be consumed in this area.
  • We appreciate your understanding with capacity limits, particularly within The Edge as numbers of patrons will be monitored and limited to ensure a safe environment. You will still be able to hear all the wonderful entertainment out on the Edge Terrace or in the Atrium.
  • Bring with your phone so you can scan the QR codes and access the digital program details on-site as you explore the Festival.
  • While masks are not required they are recommended, if you feel more comfortable wearing one, please do bring one with you.
  • Most importantly, don't forget to bring your best "bonjour!" and the spirit of la Révolution.
We look forward to sharing the joie de vivre with you next weekend!
