Additional information may cause you to change your mind, and thus your feelings... Resentment might change to compassion and a desire to help. A more accurate understanding...may cause you to deepen, rather than [withdraw] from the relationship."
Dear <<First Name>>,
Last month, we were highlighting the transitions of life this time of year. This month, we want to lean into those transitions and talk about the importance of support, rapport, and the ability to find joy in these new (or changing) roles in life. If you've started a new job, are spending more or less time with family, meeting new people out and about, or still trying to connect online in the many new virtual spaces,  creating, maintaining, and finding joy in relationships (even and especially with ourselves) is so important.
One of the great things about our modules is that you can take them at your own pace and from anywhere you have access to the internet. That means you can engage in a module lesson on your lunch break; poolside, beating the heat; on vacation; near to home or far away! Our modules have important tips and practices to help support you in knowing yourself and your story, fostering healthy communication, increasing wellbeing in relationships, and even finding a path towards Inner Joy! Visit HealingEdu.org for more and to enroll in an online module today.
If you are on this mailing list, even if you have just stumbled upon this email, or were forwarded our content by a friend, we want you to know that you are part of our Foundation family! Wherever you are, your FFCH family is here to support your wellbeing and we hope you are able to make time this month to engage with us online.

NEW MODULE SPOTLIGHT:

Our newest module, 6 Layers Towards Inner Joy, is now open for enrollment. In this module, learners will explore six different layers that can get in our way of experiencing and creating joy. These six layers can also prevent us from mindfully experiencing happiness. While you work to unravel each of the 6 layers, you will learn practical skills, make behavioral goals, and encounter alternate perceptions which will offer you an abundance of joy, creativity, and freedom.

MODULE FACILITATION

Though our modules are self-guiding and self-facilitating, we recognize that some would rather have some additional guidance.  Therefore, we’ve added a facilitation program, where FFCH walks your group through the module of your choice! Contact Shakim@familyandcommunityhealing.org to learn more.

FFCH FAMILY SPOTLIGHT:

We are pleased to introduce you to our wonderful board member, Terry Sherman (pictured below on the right, with her daughter, Megan):

"I felt incredibly honored when Susanna asked me to join the Foundation for Family and Community Healing Board. I have long admired her grace and resilience when faced with adversity – she is such an inspiration to me. Her leadership and passion for fostering stronger relationships has forged many wonderful collaborations over the past four years. This work is vitally important in helping to heal a fractured world and working toward creating a kinder and more sustainable global community.
I am eager to learn how we can all do our part in breaking the cycle of unhealthy family patterns and bolstering mental health resources available to our young people. Mental health should be viewed as an integral component of our overall health and well-being. Please take advantage of our learning modules, and you will also want to tune into Susanna’s radio program as well as her blog for topics relevant to the problems we are all facing today."

We are honored to have you on with us on this mission, Terry. Many thanks to you and all of the FFCH board. We are so grateful for your support!
