Read About Some of Our Highlights From The Past Year!
Dear Miami University Rowing Club Alumni and Family,
Our first year post pandemic proved to be incredibly successful. After working to overcome the difficulties caused by the pandemic we had a phenomenal and record setting year. Highlights include competing in six regattas as well as hosting our own, RedHawk Sprints. Several successful fundraisers throughout the year including Ergathon and concessions raised several thousand dollars. Our external fundraiser, Ella Kadlic, also secured a grant from the Miami Women Giving Circle for $8,400.
By far the largest contribution to our team was by the MU Rowing families and Alumni. With your help we raised over $16,000 which contributed to the purchase of a new women's eight. With these combined efforts we were able to expand our fleet. These expansions were necessary to safely support the rapid growth of our team that welcomed its largest novice class this year!
After a great year we are incredibly excited to get back on campus and start another fantastic season. We can't wait to grow the team even more and get out on Acton Lake again!
