 Hi <<First Name>>,

This month we welcome new members Behave & Save and Staunch Technology, and celebrate a new partnership with Hamilton Locke. Welcome to the Insurtech Australia community! It's great to have you all on board.

As promised, in early July we held a virtual webinar with community partner Open and Embedded Insurance Observatory. If you weren't able to join on the day, it's not too late to access the recording in the Past Event section below. Mid-July marked our community event, co-hosted with Hollard Insurance, on Partnering: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. It was a great evening: entertaining, interactive, and moderated by Vanessa Dobson.  Coming up in August is our in-person event, Creating Resilience and Sustainability, and ANZIIF's 2022 Australian Insurance Industry Awards. Keep reading to see which 2 members have been nominated in the Insurtech Start-up of the Year category!

Work continues on our US Delegation to ITC Las Vegas in September this year. Please talk to us if you are a partner or a member of Insurtech Australia and would like to know more.

This month's podcast hosts KOBA's CEO Andrew Wong's discussion with Vanessa Dobson on the whirlwind development of his award-winning insurance company over the past 2 years. And in our August Inspire Insurtech Interview, Dr Jenny Legge gives us the rundown on Staunch Technology - who they are, what they do and why they do it.

Finally,  we have some personal news regarding our changing Insurtech Australia team. Scroll down to learn more!

As per usual, please don't hesitate to contact us.

THE INSPIRE INSURTECH INTERVIEWS
The Inspire Insurtech Interview series is designed to inspire fellow insurtechs. We’d like to share who they are, what they do, and what we can expect from them in the future. This month, we talked to the Founder and CEO,  Dr Jenny Legge of Staunch Technology.  Enjoy!

Tell us the company’s brief pitch.
Staunch Technology helps employers, insurers, providers, and workers reduce sprains and strains in the workplace. Our customers can predict injury and work smarter by objectively matching worker abilities with job demands using our JobFit System platform to identify which workers are at risk of injury so that both the employer and the worker can manage that risk to reduce injuries and absenteeism and increase productivity and retention.

So how did the company begin?
Our founder, Dr Jenny Legge, is a physiotherapist and ergonomist who wanted to help more workers and employers than she could on her own as a clinician. She was frustrated with the waste of resources and inefficiency in the workers compensation sector and so developed the objective and standardised JobFit System job matching method. This scientific method is the foundation of the JobFit System platform...
