Our world-leading plant productivity research has received a major funding boost to create a new state-of-the-art indoor crop growth facility - STEPS (Smart Technology Experimental Plant Suite) - to future-proof crop production in a changing world.

Join our Nordic Walking Group
Our new Nordic Walking group will be meeting at our Colchester Campus from Wednesday 27 July. Nordic walking is a low impact exercise that uses special poles to activate your upper body as you walk. We'll meet every Wednesday from 12.10pm to 1pm, but you must book your place.

Take on the Mayor's Big Run
Sign up to take part in the Mayor's Big Run on Sunday 18 September and help raise money for five local charities - Next Chapter, Outhouse, Korban, AFiUK and Colchester Arts Centre. You can choose to run 5km or 10km or see how far you can get by entering the six-hour event.
