 ⚡️ Summer (E)Bike Rides in Lincoln ⚡️

We can learn a lot from bikes, especially in the patterns of our BikeLNK riders and trips over extended periods of time. One trend we've followed this summer is the high number of trips taken on our electric, pedal-assist models. In the last three months BikeLNK ebikes have taken over 6,500 rides in Lincoln, topping out with over 2,400 rides in July alone. That's beating the summer heat through smart transportation!

With BikeLNK, riding an ebike on your journey is just as easy (and affordable) as taking any of our classic bikes. Look for the lightning bolt icon next to any of our stations on your BCycle app and start your ebike ride today!

And if you like diving into all things bike share and micromobility, be sure to check out the North American Bikeshare and Scootershare Association's newly released 2021 State of the Industry Report. This annual report provides insights into the state of bike share across North America and the ever-growing opportunities for micromobility ahead.

Be sure to read up on BikeLNK's upcoming programming opportunity, Bike Share for All. This program and series of community events - supported by Heartland Bike Share's Community Challenge grant from AARP Liveable Communities and AARP Nebraska - were featured last week by the Better Bike Share Partnership.

Event dates and details will be forthcoming soon, and we can't wait to engage Lincoln residents of all ages and backgrounds at these events later this fall!
