With the heightened interest across the country following the Wimbledon Championships, there is a wide range of fully inclusive primary and secondary teacher training courses delivered by LTA Youth Schools that you can get involved with.

Cornwall School Games 2022!


What a way to kickstart July!

The annual School Games held at Poltair School, St Austell, bought together thousands of primary and secondary school students, all of whom showcased their sporting abilities in celebration of the spirit of the School Games. 

The opening ceremony began with confetti canons exploding before children went on to take part in a range of sports including tri-golf, gymnastics, dodgeball, cricket and more.

The summer competition was a fantastic event, encouraging children to be physically active and enjoy sport with their friends and peers.

Are you looking for CPD opportunities to support your Primary School? Perhaps your teachers are struggling with tricky subjects like dance, PE or even mental wellbeing?

imoves practical workshops are available as 1, 2, or 3 hour sessions, and are perfect for PE conferences, cluster meetings and subject leader days.

LTA Youth Schools Tennis

LTA Youth Schools includes a wide range of fully inclusive primary and secondary recourses which were ‘Highly Commended’ in the Education Resources Awards 2021.

Ensure you are ready to deliver high quality curriculum tennis during spring/summer 2023 by completing the FREE online CPD over the summer by registering via the link below. 

The course takes around an hour and is tablet/phone friendly, providing a very accessible CPD opportunity.

Once completed your school will be eligible to redeem a £250 voucher (one voucher per school) which can be used to buy in an LTA Accredited coach to deliver 10 hours of curriculum activity or to purchase tennis equipment.

Health and Wellbeing Communication Session

A session to explore the support for children’s and young people’s health and wellbeing within Cornwall.

This session includes Keynotes using research to provide an update on the wellbeing picture within the County and workshops to share examples of good practice and explanations of support to improve health and wellbeing of children and young people in Cornwall.
A range of Council teams which support the health and wellbeing of children and young people will be present.
