Since we last wrote, we’ve raised just over half of the potential $150,000 matching grant! It has been amazing to see people’s excitement and generosity towards international church planting in Oslo. We are overwhelmed and humbled to see the support team that God is building for us. Thank you for praying for God’s provision, for encouraging us as we work to build this support team, and for your financial sacrifice and generosity in supporting our family as we serve at the intersection of the nations and the next generation!
We still need your help to take advantage of the second half of the matching grant! Would you prayerfully consider making a pledge to give regularly, increasing your regular giving, or making a one-time gift? Just to recap how the grant works:
- One-time gifts will be matched, dollar-for-dollar
- New pledges of regular financial support will be matched at their annual value (i.e. a monthly pledge of $100 will add $1,200 from the grant)
- Increased pledges will be matched at the annual value of the increase (i.e. increasing your monthly pledge from $100 to $150 will add $600 from the grant)

We’re currently on day 26 of a 36-day road trip, traveling around the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic United States, visiting churches and individual supporters. Although we’re tired from all the travel, we have loved the chance to reconnect with old friends and connect with many new people as well. It’s been a privilege to be able to worship God together with our brothers and sisters in different congregations around the country.
How can you pray?
- For energy, safety, and good health as we finish our travels
- For wisdom about schooling and housing decisions we need to make in the next month for Oslo
- For resilient hearts, especially for our kids, as we see and say farewell to so many dear people
