The Noman's Fluke Trip was not "Exciting"

We just didn't get enough fluke to make it worthwhile and there were crazy numbers of smooth sand sharks on the south end of the drift. After a couple of drifts we ended up concentrating our effort on the NW corner of "the place" where we found some fish to work on. Quite a few shorts and under a dozen keepers along with 1/2 a sea bass limit of the biggest kind of biscuits.

On Saturday, Carlos and crew had "easy limits" of jumbo sea bass by 9am so we went chunking stripers after and had several including one that was "too big", several shorts and a nice slot fish to add to the box.
Mondays trip was all about bass and blues and that is what we got. Nice bags of fillets which included a few sea bass that were hitting the bucktails meant for stripers.
The weather looks very "iffy" over the next several days (small craft warnings and hazardous conditions) and I cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday. I will "go slow" on Thursday and stay local for bass and blues as it is supposed to be sloppy at best. If anyone wants to reschedule, let me know. There is space for the 26th and 28th which will likely both be for "mixed bag inshore" because The State of Massachusetts CLOSED cod in all waters until the end of the month! 
That state edict effects the 07/31 Coxes Ledge Trip as well so for now, if anyone wants to reschedule 07/31 there is the following Coxes Ledge Trips with space: 08/09, 08/16, 08/23 and 08/30. On August first, the new federal and state regulations for our waters (Coxes Ledge, The Hills/The Trench and all areas south of The Cape) are 5 cod/person, 22 to 28 inches. These trips are "very busy" with constant action with fish biting (cod, flounder, cunners, sea bass, scup, etc.) virtually every time you hit the bottom-BOOK NOW!
