Have you met Jo Ruxton?

Image of Jo Ruxton, founder of Ocean Generation.

Jo is our founder, an advocate for our Ocean and a filmmaker.

You may have heard a bit about her work in Hong Kong or watched the documentary she produced, 'A Plastic Ocean' on Netflix -- but Jo's career in Marine Conservation has spanned over 30 years.
Jo Ruxton, receiving her MBE Award at Windsor Castle on 8 June 2022.
On World Ocean Day, Jo was awarded an MBE for her services to Marine Conservation at Windsor Castle.

She said, "Receiving the award gives credibility - not only to the career I've worked exceptionally hard on - but to our organisation: Ocean Generation.
It's such important work that we do."

As they chatted, Jo reminded HRH Prince Charles about a time when they'd met before. It was 2021 and Jo, well, she was holding two jars.

Jars of what?

(We'll be honest.) Jo was holding jars of stomach contents.
We'd love to share that story with you. But, frankly, Jo's better at it.

Tune in to hear a little more about her conversation with Prince Charles and the jars that have the ability to soften hearts and trigger gasps:
