Update on Poetry Prize: Attention Under 18s
We’ve had a flood of entries to the 2022 BR4R Seeking Asylum Poetry Prize from young people. It is so encouraging to hear of young people reflecting on the plight of asylum seekers and being willing to support them.
In response to this wonderful development, Ballina Region for Refugees has decided to issue a certificate of participation to every entrant who is under 18, and one prize of $50. For details of the competition and entry forms, go to https://br4r.org.au/poetry-comp/.
Entries open until August 14th.
Celebrating Volunteers: an event for volunteers, members and supporters
We're thrilled to be extending an invite to all of our volunteers (past, current and future), members and supporters in order to celebrate the contribution of our volunteers. If you’d like to attend the event on Sunday 14th August at 3pm, please click here to RSVP.

The range of these paintings gives an interesting overview of the work of Australian artists over the past 25 years. Please feel free to forward this link on to anyone else you know who may be interested or to contact me directly for more information, or to view or purchase a painting.
