Presentation of Inaugural 2021 AFMW Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursaries


On Tuesday 5 July 2022, during NAIDOC week, AFMW held a celebration for the 2021 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursary Recipients in Brisbane.  on Tuesday 5 July 2022. The Australian Federation of Medical Women is a not for profit, politically neutral, non sectarian, non government organisation that seeks to improve the health of all Australians, especially the health of women and children. Membership is open to registered female medical practitioners, non-registered female medical practitioners & medical students. New members welcome.

The Australian Federation of Medical Women acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land and sea in which we live and work, we recognise their continuing connection to land, sea and culture and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
