Hello everybody!

Hope y'all guys are well and safe passing your time while waiting for long-awaited UK gigs this July! It's time to check out some fresh news from the ‘All Souvenirs’ team.

The main topic here today is two loud anniversaries: 'The Fat Of The Land' turned 25, and 'Baby's Got a Temper' celebrated its 20! We haven't forgotten about the 'Jilted Generation' 28th anniversary either. Now let's dive a bit deeper.

The UK release of The Prodigy's 'The Fat Of The Land' was provided by XL Recordings, and the album showed up on June 30, 1997. A day later, on July 1, 1997 the release appeared in the US stores with the support of Maverick. To celebrate this loud date we've created a special section on our site to organize the album-related entries and began sharing really rare stuff: www.theprodi.gy/fat25

FAT25 · ANTECEDENT #1: unreleased tunes from 1995-1996
  • The posting about the demos and some unreleased stuff from The Prodigy that was in development but didn't make sense for the album. We recalled all the unreleased tunes from '95 to '96 in detail: 'Benny Blanco', 'Rock'n'Roll', 'Blow Ya Mind', 'Bounce', 'Cocaine Kitten', and even 'Take Me On'. Check it out: https://theprodi.gy/fat25-antecedent1/
FAT25 · ANTECEDENT #2: unreleased tunes from 1997
  • The second part of the story and some of the unreleased tracks from 1997 that somehow lit up just before the album came out: 'Purple Haze' beats and some other leaked demos. Read our analysis here: https://theprodi.gy/fat25-antecedent2/
FAT25 · ALBUM DESIGN
  • The detailed story of 'The Fat Of The Land' cover artwork and inner sleeve design. It was developed by Alex Jenkins with the additional help of Konrad Wothe, JAKe Detonator, and other extremely talented creators. We've also talked to the designers, taken a few words from them, and found some exclusive rejected footage: https://theprodi.gy/the-fat-design/
FAT25 · SAMPLES
  • The most complete samples list from 'The Fat Of The Land'. You won't find such a detailed samples overview anywhere on the web. See for yourself: https://theprodi.gy/samples/the-fat/
We also plan to post even more exclusive 'The Fat Of The Land' investigations this year! Loads of interesting stuff to come!

The Prodigy’s 'Baby’s Got A Temper' was released on July 1, 2002 and had a pretty interesting fate: it was loved by many but after all was renounced by the band. The buzz around the single forced the band to set a different direction and the half-ready album ended up in the rubbish bin. Check out the two-part story of this magnificent tune.

Baby’s Got A Temper · Track story
  • In the first part of our write-up related to the single, we shared some details of its creation. Check out the most complete story of how did the track appear and why it has become a stumbling block for years to come: https://theprodi.gy/babys-got-a-temper-1
Baby’s Got A Temper · Single visuals
  • The whole thing about this underestimated banger is not only the song or the lyrics themselves. The buzz around the 'Baby's Got A Temper' exemplifies that it all works in close connection with the visuals as well. That's why we told the story of it: the cover artwork, the music video, the promo stuff, and the merch related: https://theprodi.gy/babys-got-a-temper-2/
We haven't forgotten about the 'Jilted Generation' 28th anniversary either and updated our samples list with a few unlisted sources. Check it out by yourself: https://theprodi.gy/samples/jilted-generation/
As you all know the band will play in Sheffield today, July 8. This gig will start 'The Fat Of The Land' 25th anniversary UK tour, so don't forget to check out our website from time to time and be sure to get some exclusive insides! Raise the roof!
