Handlebars & Dilly Bars Ride!

Good things come in Threes… Richmond has 3 Dairy Queens and 3 Dilly Bar flavors. This ride travels to each DQ in the city where you can get all three flavors and a free one on the last DQ stop. The Ride is  8 miles and travels mostly city streets including US 40 between SW 17th and SW 10th, 7 blocks. While this ride may be best for seasoned street bicyclists comfortable with car speeds of 40 mph, route does use the entire City Bike Loop as it exists now.

There is also pre-ride social hour at Elstro before the event where the first 12 rides will receive a free goodie bag curtesy of Reid Community Benefit. Their will also be free cookies and coffee for the first 18 riders. Please bring DQ money if wanting more than the free Dilly bar at end, compliments of Lakeview Shade and Screen LLC

Join us with celebrating all that our local Richmond Parks and Recreation accomplishes as we ring in Parks and Recreation Month with IPRA! In a long standing tradition by the NRPA, the month of July has been used to highlight the powerful impacts parks have on the communities locally, statewide, and nationally. Richmond Parks and Recreation work hard on our efforts for inclusion, resilience, physical health, mental well-being, access to play, and our community.

Just some of the ways we hit the mark is with our Richmond Farmer's Market, J.U.K.O. programs, Family Series, and our Fitness Series to name a few. We strive everyday to make our community a stronger and more connected unit. Use this time to reflect this month on how Richmond Parks and Recreation, as well as other parks have impacted you personally or as a community.
