Buckingham Board of Supervisors to vote on moving protective gold mining ordinance forward!!
Monday night! 7/11/22

We have been steadily reaching out to our Buckingham neighbors for the past year, gathering support for an ordinance that would protect us from the toxic trespass that industrial gold mining would bring.

This Monday night, 7/11, the Board of Supervisors will be asked by the county administrator, Karl Carter, to "Consider possibly developing a Goldmining Ordinance". This, after we met with him recently to introduce this common sense rights-based ordinance.

This is not yet at the public hearing stage. Because they are so busy - we have elected not to inundate them with public in-person comments - only a handful. But! We do want them to hear your support!

All Buckingham residents and landowners:

Please send a simple written statement to urge them to vote YES!
Here's a sampling:

My name is ________. I live in District _______.
Please vote yes to begin developing an industrial gold mining ordinance. Please direct the county administrator and attorney to take a good look at the proposed bill, which would present common sense protections from the forever toxic trespass we know would come with this industry. Thank you for taking care of us.

Please send before Monday 7/11 Noon. We can do this! Your voice counts!
